Grinta follows the world through the eyes of Kenneth, who struggles with multiple sclerosis and still keeps it hidden from those around him. During a football game he faces a tipping point.

Due to some rush with other projects, I had asked my assistant for this film, Vitalii, to make a rough cut based on the script. The rules for this was that he had to have every scene played out and use every shot, unless it really didn't work. Together with Nils, I then had an intensive week where we first looked at all the material per scene and already cut it down a bit and started playing with structure. After much polishing and visioning in a week, we reached a school version. After a successful vision for Nils, we spent an afternoon together afterwards and made minor adjustments. To this result. May 2024 we made Con Grinta with Primary school children in Fiorano Modese for the Ennesimo Film Festival. For more information about that, see below. 

For this project, the11 year old Paola wrote a wonderful story based on the last minutes of Grinta and in the styl of ‘Toto le héros’. We did film this scenario in Italy with Paola’s class, the 1B Leoparrdi school in Fiorano Modenese. For this project, the students experienced and learned life on set. 

Paolo tells in the story about her great love Jacob, who first falls in love with another classmate but eventually falls for her advances during a football match.
